Dance Instructors:

 

Barbara Ann Cittadino - Artistic Director, and former Rockette, opened Just for Kicks over 35 years ago hoping to create a safe and fun environment for students interested in dance.  She believes strongly in technique and teaching to meet the need of each student.

 

Miss Nichole has danced at Just for Kicks since it opened in 1988.  Nichole has studied in tap, hip hop, and jazz (jazz is her favorite!).  She obtained her Master's degree in education from Hofstra University and currently teaches 5th grade in Westbury. Nichole loves that she can merge her excitement for education with her enjoyment of dance.

 

Miss Amanda graduated from Adelphi University with a BFA in Dance.  She currently is on faculty at Adelphi teaching in both the Dance and Theatre Departments.  She also dances with the Dance Theatre Company, a dance company that performs throughout Manhattan and Long Island.  

 

Miss Lisa has been dancing for over 25 years, studying tap, hip hop, ballet, and jazz.  As a dancer she has had experience performing at Six Flags Great Adventure, Hershey Park, and Disney's Magic Kingdom!  She received her Master's of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education.  Miss Lisa has been a part of the Just for Kicks Family since 2004 and loves that she can bring all of her passion and experience to her students.

Miss Gina has been dancing all of her life.  She studied tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical.  Miss Gina enjoyed spending ten years performing with a Long Island based dance company featuring all styles of dance, including musical theatre.  She has been a Special Education teacher in the Rockville Centre School District since 2003, where she loves to use movement and music with her students.

Miss Kirsten has been dancing with Just for Kicks since she was 3 years old.  Kirsten has studied in tap, hip hop, jazz, ballet, and modern.  She obtained her Bachelor's degree from the University of Albany, where she also studied dance with the University's Dance Council.

Miss Caitlin has been dancing at Just for Kicks since she was 3 years old.  She has studied ballet, point, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern and hip hop.  She is currently attending Adelphi University will she is studying Psychology, as well as dance.  Miss Caitlin is so grateful to share her love of dance with others!

Miss Toni has been a part of the Just For Kicks family since 2003, spending her childhood and teen years as a student, then joining the wonderful teaching staff in 2017. While a student at JFK, she trained in numerous styles of dance including jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, theatre jazz, modern, lyrical, pointe and even Irish dance! Throughout her high school years at Holy Trinity Diocesan High School in Hicksville, NY, she was a member of their kickline program as well as the Trinity Dance Company. While a student at Adelphi University, she was a member of the Dance Team and the AU Evolution Hip Hop team. She has since graduated from Adelphi University with a bachelor's degree in Nursing in December 2021 and is a New York State Registered Nurse. She is also the Assistant Coach for the Holy Trinity Varsity Kickline team! Miss Toni is so grateful to have learned from, and now be able to work alongside, the most amazing dance teachers at JFK and is honored to call this studio her second home!

Miss Tiffany has been a part of the Just for Kicks family for 22 years! She has studied a variety of dance styles that range from hip hop to Irish Step. Miss Tiffany graduated from Adelphi University with a B.S. in Business Management and a minor in Dance. She is currently in the process of earning her M.S. in Childhood Special Education at Adelphi University. Miss Tiffany has had the pleasure of working with Stacey Tookey, as an understudy for her piece Gift, and took part in re-staging Mark Morris’ Polka and re-staging Alwin Nikolais’ Tensile Involvement. Her favorite piece that she has ever performed in is Manuel Vignoulle’s Le Lien. She is very happy to share her love and passion for dance with all who surround her!

Miss Alyssa’s second home is Just for Kicks, since she was two!  She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her BFA in Dance from Adelphi University, pursuing her Masters from Molloy. She is an American Ballet Theatre® Certified Teacher, Pre-Primary through Level 5 and holds a Dance Education certification through NDEO.  Miss Alyssa was Captain of Oceanside MS and HS Varsity Dance Teams.  Pre-professionally she trained and performed under Verdon Fosse, Joffrey Jazz & Contemporary, Briansky and Eglevsky Ballet, NY Knicks City Dancers, Amy Marshall, Keigwin+Co., Mark Morris, Limón, Martha Graham, Paul Taylor Dance Companies completing her internship with Ballet Hispanico.  Her concentration is Ballet but her soul has a Jazz lining.   Professionally, she performed with NYC based, Jazz Roots Dance Company under Jazz legend, Sue Samuels.  Miss Alyssa is the Fine & Performing Arts Chairperson for The Schools of St. Dominic, HS faculty Dance Teacher, Production Manager, Dance Ensemble Director and Kickline coach.  She is the Chapter Sponsor for NHSDA and is VIRTUS Certified.  Her goal is to inspire students to challenge themselves, set goals, never give up and follow their dreams.
